Simple Applesauce


Aple sauce is one of the deluxe nordic treats. It is digestible, soothing and comforting for body and soul.To satisfy Kapha, you can add more spices like, cardamon and ginger to give a bit of a punch. This simple sauce can be eaten alone for breakfast or as base for deserts.



The apple has neurological, cardiovascular, lung, colon, systematic, and prostate benefits. It is amazing for the well being of the whole body. It also prevents cancer, helps heart disease, helps weight loss, and controls weight loss. It is high in antioxidant compounds.
Apples are rich in Calcium, Potassium, Vitamins A and C, Folate, Phosphorus, and Iron.


Ingredients:
6 raw apples (organic Golden Delicious works well)
1 cup apple juice
¼ tsp cinnamon (or more, as desired)

Preparation:
Wash and chop apples into 1 inch cubes, cutting out the core. Bring apple juice to a boil in a medium-sized saucepan. Put in apples and cinnamon immediately. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 20 minutes or more. Serve hot or cooled.

Serves 4.
