Late fall Canadian Salsa

One way to use those extra tomatoes from your fall harvest is by making fresh salsa. In only 5 minutes you can easily make this salsa which tastes amazing with rice, vegetables or just eaten with tortillas. Good for kaphas and pittas but those of the vatta dosha should eat in moderation.

Ingredients:
1/2 (55 g) Green onions
1 (10 g) Jalapeño pepper, seeds and membranes removed
1/4 cup (5 g) Fresh cilantro
1 teaspoon Fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon Salt (optional)

6 (672 g) Ripe Roma tomatoes, quartered (24 quarters)
Method:
Place onion, jalapeño pepper, cilantro, lemon juice, and six of the tomato quarters into the blender. Pulse for a few seconds. Then add the rest of the tomatoes and pulse until the tomatoes are in chunks.
