Wake up digestion yellow drink

I personally love this drink to start panchakarma or any oleation. It leaves my body feeling both refreshed and warmly comforted.
Having a strong agni, or internal fire, is fundamental for any internal work of transmutation. If you are experiencing a lack of appetite, low energy, no enthusiasm, depression, or excessive sleepiness, you may have low agni.
A low metabolism can lead to weight gain, fatigue, and difficulty losing weight because the body burns calories more slowly. Other results include increased sensitivity to cold, digestive issues such as constipation, dry skin, and hair, as well as muscle weakness.
Using Tulsi as a medicine.

This delicious Tulsi smoothie soothes your nerves and helps clear mental clutter. Tulsi, or Holy Basil, has been revered by ancient cultures for its healing and rejuvenating qualities.

In India, Tulsi is considered a sacred plant with sattvic ( pure) qualities. It is pungent, heating, dry, and light, promoting mental clarity while calming the nervous system. Studies confirm its many therapeutic benefits, including its role as an adaptogen—herbs that help the body adapt to stress, whether from a hectic schedule, temperature extremes, or high altitude. Tulsi has also been shown to help the body cope with stress, anxiety, and fatigue, promote healthy blood sugar levels already within the normal range, and support the immune, respiratory, and digestive systems.

It’s easy to see why adding a daily dose of Tulsi can help you feel and look amazing. Enjoy it for breakfast or as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up.
This particular digestive drink activates agni ( the internal fire), favoring the three basic functions of metabolism: converting food into a usable energy form for cellular processes, building essential macromolecules (like proteins and lipids), and eliminating metabolic waste products. These functions are achieved through two main complementary processes: catabolism, which breaks down substances to release energy and building blocks, and anabolism, which uses that energy and those building blocks to synthesize new compounds and structures.
Ingredients:

Makes 1 smoothie

  • 1 thin slice of lemon ( with peel)
  • 1/2 tsp of fresh turmeric
  • 1-2 teaspoons of honey
  • ¾-inch fresh ginger
  • 2 cups warm water
  • pinch of fresh chilli
  • ½ teaspoon tulsi powder.
You can use one head of garlic for kapha dosha, but keep in mind that garlic can stimulate mental activity.

Directions:

In a Vitamix (or high-powered blender), blend all ingredients for 2 minutes. If there are sediments, strain before drinking. Enjoy  4 tsps of warm food before meals, for 4 to 5 days or until the internal agni is restored.
