In order
to know your child’s dosha you need to keep in mind that there are two aspects
to consider. One is the Prakruti of the child which is determined in the moment
of conception. The other aspect is the Vakriti which is the present dosha
according to age and any dis-balance. It is also ever changing.
An
Ayurvedic practitioner can determine the Prakruti by taking the child’s pulse
and making some observations of the child. The practitioner also is able to determine
the present dosha that is in or out of balance by asking you questions about
your child.
You can
also have a general idea of your child’s Prakruti by completing the Ayurvedicquestionnaire. Between you and
your Ayurvedic practitioner you can determine your child’s dosha and follow
simple rules for your child’s health and well-being.
